Procurement Engineer – Tendering Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Engineer – Tendering Specialist is responsible for preparing cost estimates, analysing specifications and managing the procurement process for construction projects. The role ensures that purchases align with project budgets and timelines while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project documents, drawings and specifications to determine material and service requirements.
• Request and evaluate price offers from suppliers, subcontractors and vendors based on quantified needs.
• Prepare pricing comparison sheets, negotiate prices and ensure proposals meet budget constraints.
• Prepare material submittals, attend technical meetings and coordinate queries with consultants.
• Monitor tender invitations, organise supplier proposals and support the pre‑qualification process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking, mathematical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commercial awareness of market trends.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• AutoCAD.
