Project Evaluation Consultant

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is seeking an independent Project Evaluation Consultant to assess the climate‑resilience and water‑management project implemented in Jordan and Lebanon. The consultant will work remotely and deliver a full suite of evaluation outputs over a four‑month part‑time assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an inception report outlining the evaluation methodology and work plan.
• Collect and analyse project data, stakeholder inputs, and field observations.
• Draft and finalize comprehensive evaluation reports, including evidence‑based conclusions, lessons learned, and strategic recommendations.
• Present key findings to UN‑Habitat, the Adaptation Fund Board, and national partners in Jordan and Lebanon.
• Ensure the evaluation aligns with UN‑Habitat standards and the objectives of the Adaptation Fund.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting independent project evaluations, preferably in climate‑change adaptation or water‑resource projects.
• Familiarity with UN‑Habitat, the Adaptation Fund, and related multilateral processes.
• Ability to work remotely while coordinating with partners in Jordan and Lebanon.
• Strong analytical, report‑writing, and presentation skills.
