PV Design Engineer

About the role

Affinity Power & Control is seeking a hands‑on PV Design Engineer to lead the technical design and implementation of renewable energy projects across the MENA region. You will take projects from concept through detailed design to on‑site commissioning, working closely with our SCADA and automation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end PV systems, including string sizing, cable calculations, protection selection, and energy yield assessments.
• Create rooftop and ground‑mounted layouts, mounting structures, electrical panels, and inverter configurations.
• Produce professional electrical drawings, layouts, and single‑line diagrams (SLDs).
• Develop and review Functional Design Specifications based on client requirements and tender documents.
• Lead installation, evaluation, and maintenance of PV and BESS systems, including electrical panels, monitoring stations, and control systems.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, commissioning activities, and troubleshoot electrical faults.

Required profile

• Strong background in PV system design and renewable energy engineering.
• Ability to work both at a desk and in the field, managing projects from concept to commissioning.
• Motivation for clean energy and smart infrastructure projects.
