PYP Math Teacher

About the role

Amman Academy, an IB World School in Jordan, is seeking a passionate PYP Math Teacher to join its bilingual English‑Arabic community. The successful candidate will deliver the Primary Years Programme mathematics curriculum to students aged 3‑12, fostering curiosity and deep understanding in a supportive, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging PYP mathematics lessons in line with IB standards.
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of a bilingual cohort.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross‑curricular themes and uphold the Academy’s AA Values.
• Maintain accurate student records, provide timely feedback and contribute to parent communication.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development and safeguarding initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
• 2‑4 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IB setting.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Familiarity with the IB framework is a plus.
