QHSE Officer - Cleaning Operations

About the role

MENA Facilities Management is looking for a qualified and motivated QHSE Officer to support the implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards across its cleaning operations. The successful candidate will monitor cleaning quality, ensure compliance with standards, identify areas for improvement and maintain safe working conditions across operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily quality surveys and inspections to assess cleaning performance and compliance with agreed standards, and identify areas needing corrective action.
• Monitor daily cleaning activities so that quality standards, procedures and client expectations are consistently met.
• Identify recurring quality issues, report non-conformities, follow up on corrective actions and coordinate with operational teams to improve service delivery.
• Report and document incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and other QHSE observations, with appropriate follow-up.
• Monitor compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) requirements and ensure high-risk activities follow approved safety arrangements.
• Carry out routine site inspections to find hazards, check compliance with safety requirements and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and practical training to cleaning staff.
• Maintain accurate QHSE records, prepare inspection and quality reports and share findings with operational teams.
• Support the implementation of company QHSE procedures, risk assessments, safe working practices and applicable legal requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant QHSE experience, preferably in facilities management, cleaning operations or a similar service environment.
• Valid Jordanian Ministry of Labor accreditation.
• NBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is preferable.
• Good communication skills and the ability to deliver effective on-site training.
• Strong observation, reporting, follow-up and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with operational teams and close quality and safety issues on time.
