QHSE Officer – Field Operations (UAE)

About the role

MASE, a leading power services provider in the MENA region, is seeking a proactive QHSE Officer to support its field operations across the United Arab Emirates. This on‑site role will ensure that all operational sites comply with the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards, client requirements and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily QHSE inspections using MASE checklists and issue Safety Observation Reports, Violation Notices and Non‑Conformance Reports as needed.
• Verify Permit to Work compliance before high‑risk, non‑routine, and hot‑work activities.
• Ensure proper use of PPE by employees and subcontractors and validate competency certifications (Work at Height, Scaffolding, First Aid, etc.) before mobilization.
• Maintain the site HSE Equipment Register, track inspections and expiry dates.
• Deliver site inductions, daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses and prepare timely reports.
• Prepare weekly and monthly QHSE performance reports.
• Support internal, ISO management system, client and regulatory audits.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all project sites.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (mandatory).
• Minimum one year of field HSE experience.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel regularly between UAE project sites.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International General Certificate
• OSHA or equivalent certification
• IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
• First Aid and Firefighting certifications
• Work at Height and Scaffolding inspection training
• Familiarity with UAE occupational health and safety regulations
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
