Quantity Surveyor (Wood Works)

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will join Sections Group’s Wood Works division in Amman, Jordan. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities, supporting cost planning and ensuring accurate measurement and valuation of wood‑work projects. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that all measurements are precise and that financial targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for wood‑works projects.
• Support cost planning, cost estimates and budgeting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project expenditures, conduct variance analysis and produce regular cost reports and forecasts.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers and suppliers to ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
• Assist in tender evaluations and help keep projects within budget and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction or contracting environments, preferably with wood‑works projects.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel, cost estimation software and CAD reading.
