Rapid Response Fund Finance and Grants Officer

About the role

The Rapid Response Fund Finance and Grants Officer provides day‑to‑day financial management and fund activation support for the Rapid Response Fund (RRF). The role ensures sound budgeting, financial control, donor reporting and accurate record‑keeping while offering guidance to ACT Alliance members.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inputs to annual RRF budgets, forecasts and revisions, aligning with donor requirements and ACT procedures.
• Review activation budgets submitted by members, advise on eligible costs, cost compliance and documentation, and flag significant issues.
• Track disbursements and ensure timely coordination with the RRF team.
• Monitor and analyse project expenditure, forecasts and financial reports, identifying variances, delays and emerging financial risks.
• Prepare financial reports for donor reporting, support audits, evaluations and management responses.
• Provide financial guidance to ACT members and contribute to financial analysis.
• Promote locally led humanitarian action, collective accountability, inclusion and compliance with ACT policies.
• Collaborate with members, regional representatives and Secretariat colleagues to strengthen preparedness, coordination and learning.
