Regional Manager, Transformation & Products – Africa & Middle East

About the role

The Regional Manager, Transformation & Products will lead IATA’s modernization initiatives across Africa and the Middle East. You will support airlines, travel sellers and industry stakeholders in adopting modern retailing, offers, orders and payment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the adoption and implementation of Modern Airline Retailing, Offers & Orders capabilities and IATA payment solutions across the region.
• Monitor execution and progress of regional distribution transformation and payment initiatives, identifying challenges and recommending corrective actions.
• Track market developments, regulatory changes, industry trends and competitive dynamics that affect distribution and payments.
• Develop and maintain regional performance metrics, adoption dashboards and implementation reports for data‑driven decision‑making.
• Deliver workshops, webinars, roadshows and awareness campaigns to promote best practices and accelerate adoption.
• Lead and execute regional mobilization activities to ensure successful transformation outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in airline retailing, distribution or payment transformation projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with performance reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with senior industry leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and travel across Africa and the Middle East as needed.
