RPA Maintenance Aircraft Mechanic – Deployment Pool

About the role

The employee will join the Deployment Pool, providing flexible support for RPA aircraft maintenance at various CONUS and OCONUS locations. Duties include performing, inspecting, and overhauling aircraft, engines, and critical components to ensure airworthiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily launch and recovery tasks supporting operational requirements.
• Perform organizational and intermediate level maintenance, inspections, and modifications on RPA systems and support equipment.
• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, landing gear, power plants, fuel systems, and functional components using hand and power tools, welding equipment, rivet guns, and drills.
• Diagnose and correct power‑plant (engine) malfunctions, conduct testing with appropriate equipment, and reassemble engines.
• Maintain accurate parts inventory and support aircraft utilization and maintenance schedules.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent military/vocational training.
• Minimum one year of aircraft mechanic maintenance experience.
• Active Secret US Government clearance (or ability to obtain) and US citizenship.
• Willingness and ability to deploy internationally, meet OCONUS deployment criteria, and pass medical screening.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment over 50 lb and possess a valid driver’s license and passport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals, and aircraft maintenance documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, rivet guns, drills, and test equipment.
• Knowledge of engine, airframe, landing‑gear, fuel, electrical/electronic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft structures and components.
• Basic understanding of flight theory and electronic flight controls.
