Safety Officer – Property Security & Loss Prevention

About the role

The Safety Officer is responsible for protecting guests, employees and assets across the property. This full‑time position involves proactive patrols, monitoring of security systems and rapid response to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock entrances, conduct daily hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR or contacting EMS as needed.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and handle vehicle accident or theft scenes.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries and maintain confidentiality of all security documentation.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions and ensure professional uniform appearance.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted (75 lb with assistance).
• Physical fitness to respond quickly to emergencies and move at required speed.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills and strict adherence to confidentiality.
• Completion of required safety training and certifications.
