Security Officer

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property assets. This full‑time position involves patrolling the premises, monitoring security systems, and responding promptly to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarm, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and report safety issues.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact EMS as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Complete incident reports, loss‑prevention shift summaries, and maintain confidentiality of all records.
• Escort unwelcome persons, investigate incidents, gather evidence, and conduct interviews.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.

Required profile

• Physically able to stand, walk, run, and lift objects up to 50 lb unaided (75 lb with assistance).
• Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
• Ability to follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold a professional appearance.
• Willingness to complete safety training, certifications, and ongoing education.
