Semi‑Senior Accountant (2–3 years experience)

About the role

Atlas, a Jordan‑based manufacturer of diagnostic reagents and laboratory equipment, is seeking a Semi‑Senior Accountant to support its finance team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closings.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and conduct account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly and year‑end closing activities.
• Support financial reporting, VAT filings, and audit requirements.
• Monitor fixed assets and inventory records.
• Maintain accounting documentation and ensure compliance with IFRS.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
