Semi‑Senior Accountant (2–3 years experience)

About the role
Atlas, a Jordan‑based manufacturer of diagnostic reagents and laboratory equipment, is seeking a Semi‑Senior Accountant to support its finance team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closings.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily accounting transactions and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare journal entries and conduct account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly and year‑end closing activities.
- Support financial reporting, VAT filings, and audit requirements.
- Monitor fixed assets and inventory records.
- Maintain accounting documentation and ensure compliance with IFRS.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
