Senior Accountant – Accounts Receivable & Financial Reporting

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our Accounts Receivable function and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role involves overseeing invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing, collections, and customer account management.
• Review and approve financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Monitor customer credit limits and outstanding balances to mitigate risk and improve cash flow.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, payment gateways, cash accounts and customer balances.
• Prepare and review aging reports, collection forecasts, cash flow reports and management reports.
• Ensure proper recording of revenues, expenses, receipts and journal entries in the ERP system.
• Review VAT transactions and assist in VAT reporting and compliance.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, including accruals and financial reporting.
• Guide junior accounting staff and promote adherence to internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior accountant with a focus on Accounts Receivable.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Experience reviewing VAT transactions and preparing related reports.
• Ability to supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Track record of identifying process improvements and enhancing internal controls.
