Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will join avx Group’s finance team in Amman, Jordan, overseeing the day‑to‑day accounting operations of a fast‑growing ICT solutions provider. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, process journal entries, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and execute month‑end and year‑end closing procedures.
• Prepare, review, and present financial statements in accordance with Jordanian accounting standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements and internal policies.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial controls and reporting.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and drive process and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong financial accounting background with experience in general ledger management and month‑end close.
• Proven ability in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Jordanian tax regulations and audit procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role within the ICT sector.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and ability to work on‑site in a dynamic, technology‑driven environment.
