Senior Accountant

About the role

Megalabs Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Amman. The role involves overseeing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while supporting strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entry reviews.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS or GAAP.
• Monitor cash flows, support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit preparation.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA or equivalent is a plus.
• Several years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior or corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software.
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet/data analysis capabilities.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
