Senior Assessment Officer – Shelter & Site Management (Amman)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to lead shelter and site‑management assessments in the occupied Palestinian territory. Based in Amman, you will support evidence‑based humanitarian interventions during the post‑ceasefire period.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and oversee comprehensive shelter needs assessments and related joint analysis workshops.
• Collect, manage and analyse field data using GIS and remote‑sensing tools.
• Prepare assessment reports, disseminate findings and contribute to evaluation processes.
• Develop targeted, ad‑hoc assessments throughout the contract period.
• Coordinate with external partners and the emerging Shelter, Land and Sites cluster.

Required profile

• Strong research background with analytical thinking and creativity.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a complex humanitarian context.
• Excellent written and presentation skills to convey research implications clearly.
