Senior Backend Developer

About the role

First Tech is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and build scalable, secure, high-performance backend systems and APIs for its digital platforms serving financial services and other industries. You will work with .NET Core, C#, and MS SQL Server while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using .NET Core and C#.
• Create and document RESTful APIs, integrations, and distributed services.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, and system reliability.
• Implement automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines across development, testing, and production environments.
• Review, validate, and debug AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and engineering best practices.
• Produce clear technical documentation and mentor teammates on AI-driven development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience building scalable backend applications with .NET Core, C#, and MS SQL Server.
• Proven experience working in AI-assisted development environments using coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Strong ability to review, debug, and optimize AI-generated code.
