Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js / NestJS)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable, high‑performance backend systems using Node.js and NestJS. You will work on robust APIs, micro‑services, and collaborate closely with frontend teams and product managers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and NestJS.
• Write clean, scalable, testable, and well‑documented TypeScript code.
• Optimize application and database performance for speed and efficiency.
• Design and implement micro‑services architecture where applicable.
• Collaborate with frontend teams and product managers to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Expert‑level knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem, with deep experience in NestJS and TypeScript.
• Strong background in relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Hands‑on experience with caching solutions (Redis) and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
