Senior Data Scientist - Finance Analytics

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Specialist, Data Scientist to join its team in Amman, Jordan. The role focuses on applying machine learning and data analytics to support finance, accounting and business teams, using large datasets from SAP ECC and ERP systems. Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to improve financial forecasting, anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
• Work with large datasets from SAP ECC, ERP systems and external sources, integrating them into Azure Databricks for analytics.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting and business teams to understand challenges and build data-driven solutions.
• Design and optimize data pipelines for ML model training, validation and deployment.
• Use LLM, NLP, time-series analysis and deep learning where applicable to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
• Build interactive dashboards and visualizations to share insights with finance and business stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, governance and compliance when handling sensitive financial data.
• Use automation tools such as Selenium to streamline data collection and processing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field; a Master's is preferred.
• At least 4-7 years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Experience in a finance department is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
