Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation Lead

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will own the design, reliability and scalability of cloud‑based production systems. You will lead architecture, automation and operations across Azure and AWS, drive security, performance and cost efficiency, and set DevOps standards for the team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and operate Azure/AWS production environments, including AKS/Kubernetes clusters.
• Own system performance, incident response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reviews.
• Define release engineering, pre‑production validation, backup, disaster‑recovery and FinOps strategies.
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and reusable scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Lead GitOps adoption and continuous‑delivery pipelines using ArgoCD or Flux.
• Establish cloud security best practices, IAM policies and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Architect observability platforms, define SLOs/SLIs and manage alerting.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, conduct proofs‑of‑concept and vendor assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with engineering, security and product stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on DevOps, Cloud Engineering or SRE experience.
• At least 3 years focused on Microsoft Azure.
• Expert‑level Kubernetes administration and production experience with Azure Kubernetes Service.
