Senior External Audit – Audit & Assurance

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior professional to join its External Audit team in Jordan. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services to clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and building trusted relationships across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying knowledge of regulation and risk management.
• Adapt template referral instructions to define audit scope and focus areas.
• Liaise with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence, providing accurate information.
• Track deliverables from component auditors and link risks, controls, and findings.
• Articulate audit quality milestones and ensure they are met.
• Prepare documentation that anticipates reviewer questions and distinguishes accounting from auditing judgments.
• Develop relationships beyond the finance function to better understand client businesses.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in external audit and assurance.
• Strong understanding of regulatory impact on business processes and controls.
• Ability to interpret key statistics and industry matters before engagements.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams.
• Proactive approach to risk assessment and documentation.
