Senior External Auditor - Audit & Assurance (KSA Market)

About the role

Deloitte is hiring a Senior in Audit & Assurance (External Audit) for its Jordanian Resources Center, based in Amman but working on the Saudi Arabian market. The role covers external audit work, with a focus on audit quality, stakeholder expectations and the use of AI in audits.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations
• Adapt template referral instructions to define the scope of procedures and the areas of audit focus
• Link risks, controls, procedures and findings across the audit file and track deliverables from component auditors
• Prepare documentation in advance of review, distinguishing accounting and auditing judgements
• Use AI in an audit context to improve efficiency and quality, validating AI-generated outputs and following responsible AI expectations
• Supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyse data, and prepare detailed audit reports
• Plan and manage engagements and people so that deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related field; graduate degree desired
• 4+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms
• International accounting qualification desired: CA, ACCA or CPA, preferably CA
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing); bilingual Arabic/English preferred
• Ability to supervise staff and manage engagements
