Senior Officer – Costing & Fixed Assets

About the role

Hikma Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Officer to lead costing and fixed‑assets accounting functions at its Amman site. The role supports accurate product cost modelling, inventory valuation and asset management, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute costing activities, develop and maintain standard cost models, and produce timely, accurate cost reports.
• Analyse variances between actual and standard costs, provide root‑cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee inventory scrapping, validate supporting documents and conduct investigations.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, supply chain and finance to collect and verify cost data.
• Monitor inventory valuation, identify cost‑saving opportunities and support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, perform monthly/quarterly/annual closing activities including depreciation, disposals, transfers and impairment reviews.
• Reconcile fixed‑asset GL accounts, prepare asset reports and disclosures for financial reporting.
• Track Assets Under Construction, lead physical verification counts and investigate variances.
• Support internal and external audit processes and ensure adherence to internal policies.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in product costing, variance analysis and fixed‑asset accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and internal control procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with procurement, production, supply chain and finance teams.
