Senior PreSales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Systems

About the role

The Senior PreSales Engineer – IT Infrastructure Systems provides end‑to‑end technical solutioning for enterprise compute, storage, hyper‑converged infrastructure, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery and hybrid cloud integration. The role works closely with sales, account managers, OEMs and value‑added distributors across Saudi Arabia to translate customer requirements into scalable, high‑availability architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to deliver full technical presales support and meet enterprise sales targets.
• Gather and analyse customer business and technical requirements, then design cost‑effective, high‑availability infrastructure solutions.
• Lead the preparation of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, including discovery workshops, sizing, BoM generation, technical proposals and compliance matrices.
• Coordinate and execute Proof‑of‑Concept activities, benchmarking and technical demonstrations.
• Maintain strong relationships with IT infrastructure OEMs and local distributors to secure special pricing, fast quotations and BoM validation.
• Collaborate with product managers and OEM channel teams to identify market opportunities and generate new leads.
• Provide technical enablement and product training to internal sales teams.
• Support sales leaders in addressing complex technical objections and closing high‑value deals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in presales engineering for enterprise IT infrastructure solutions.
• Proven ability to design scalable, high‑availability architectures and articulate business value, TCO and ROI.
• Strong track record of managing end‑to‑end RFI/RFP processes and delivering technical proposals.
• Excellent collaboration skills with OEMs, distributors and internal sales teams.
