Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer will lead end‑to‑end purchasing activities for capital and operational needs. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance and end‑users to ensure cost‑effective sourcing, timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comparison sheets for CAPEX purchases based on user requirements and present them to the CAPEX Executive Committee.
• Identify, evaluate, onboard and maintain relationships with suppliers, monitoring lead time, quality, compliance and after‑sales service.
• Negotiate quotations, prices, payment terms, warranties and service agreements to secure favourable commercial terms.
• Define technical specifications, acceptance criteria, installation requirements and spare‑part lists in collaboration with engineering and maintenance.
• Issue purchase orders, track order status, expedite deliveries and manage order changes.
• Verify shipping documents against purchase orders and handle incoming inspection and non‑conformance escalations.
• Maintain accurate procurement and contract records, manage warranty claims and post‑purchase service interactions.
• Develop and review SOPs and procurement policies, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Continuously seek alternative solutions and proactively identify risk areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
