Senior Python Back‑End Engineer – Financial Trading

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a senior back‑end developer with strong Python expertise to help build and enhance trading platforms used worldwide. You will work closely with product owners, architects, and other engineers to deliver high‑quality, secure, and scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to design and implement new features and products.
• Develop solutions that meet defined business requirements and write clear technical specifications.
• Present implementations to senior leadership, including the CTO.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and propose refactoring.
• Support other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of professional software development experience in Python.
• Strong understanding of software design, architecture, SDLC, and SOA principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Hands‑on experience building microservices and containerised applications.
• Knowledge of websockets, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools (Terraform, Helm).
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI tools (Jenkins).
• Awareness of web security standards and best practices.
