Senior QA Engineer

About the role

Equiti, a fintech firm delivering multi‑asset trading solutions, is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join its Technology department in Jordan. You will be part of a global development team responsible for ensuring the quality of web and mobile trading platforms through both manual and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications, covering functional, regression, integration and UAT cycles.
• Design, build and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Apply OOP principles to create reusable, scalable test components.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and business analysts to embed quality early in the development process.
• Identify, log and track defects through resolution.
• Define, review and continuously improve QA processes, standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a strong quality culture.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage of complex trading workflows such as account management, order execution and reporting.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in manual and automation testing of web and mobile platforms.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
• Proven ability to write clear test plans and test cases.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with CI/CD pipelines.

Required skills

• Playwright automation framework.
• TypeScript / JavaScript programming.
• Object‑oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• API testing tools such as Postman.
• Advanced SQL for data validation.
• Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC and QA methodologies.
