Senior Software Engineer – Accounting Platform

About the role

Foodics is building a brand‑new accounting platform that will turn restaurant operations into a clean set of books. As one of the first engineers on this greenfield product, you will shape the core ledger, integration layers and compliance features in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the core accounting modules – general ledger, chart of accounts, journals, AP/AR, reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Own the integration surface with inventory, payments, POS transaction flows and regulatory e‑invoicing.
• Work full‑stack, taking features from database schema to user interface.
• Translate accounting requirements into system design in partnership with product and accounting experts.
• Leverage AI and LLM tooling to accelerate development, while ensuring code quality.
• Make early architectural decisions and defend them against evolving requirements.
• Deliver functional increments in weeks, ship to real merchants and iterate quickly.

Required profile

• 5+ years of production software development, with significant experience in accounting, ERP or financial systems.
• Strong full‑stack engineering skills and ability to own a feature end‑to‑end.
• Daily use of AI agents or LLM tools with sound judgment on their outputs.
• Proven track record of shipping fast in early‑stage or greenfield teams.
• High attention to correctness where errors are costly.
• Availability to work within GMT+3 business hours.
