Site Civil Engineer

About the role

The Site Civil Engineer will be based on‑site in Zarqa, overseeing daily construction activities for road, water and sewage projects. The role ensures work complies with design specifications, safety standards and project schedules while coordinating with project managers, contractors and survey teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to ensure safe, efficient execution according to the project schedule.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site crews to meet project objectives.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications and contract documents for compliance.
• Prepare, review and update shop drawings and site layouts using AutoCAD.
• Monitor progress, identify issues and implement practical solutions to maintain productivity.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and stakeholders to resolve technical and site‑related challenges.
• Prepare daily reports, track resource utilization and maintain accurate site records.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety and environmental requirements throughout execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience on infrastructure projects, especially roads, water supply and sewage works.
• Strong ability to plan daily activities, solve site problems and make engineering decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
