SOC Analyst L2 – Security Operations Center (Amman)

About the role

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst L2 will join a 24x7 security team responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber‑threats across the organization’s environment in Jordan.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform and investigate all related security incidents.
• Provide incident response, reporting, and resolution for identified threats.
• Conduct forensic analysis, data recovery, and penetration testing as needed.
• Perform daily security scanning, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits to improve detection capabilities.
• Configure, administer, and maintain security tools and systems.
• Define and evaluate security technologies to ensure robust cyber‑attack detection.
• Deliver security recommendations to enhance the client’s security posture.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and standard operating processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT/security operations or a SOC role.
• Relevant certifications such as Network+, CCNA Routing & Switching, Security+, CIHE, CEH, CPTE are preferred.
• Hands‑on knowledge of network switches, routers, firewalls, and operating‑system security (Linux, Windows).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Project, Excel, Access).
