Steward – Hotel Kitchen Support

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Steward to join our hotel’s back‑of‑house team. You will ensure the kitchen and service areas remain spotless and that dish‑washing equipment operates efficiently, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pot‑washing and dishware machinery in line with hygiene standards.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, washing up and emptying rubbish bins.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in all kitchen and back‑of‑house areas according to the cleaning schedule.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor on duty.
• Carry out any additional reasonable tasks assigned by hotel management.

Required profile

• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role is advantageous.

Required skills

• Operation of pot‑washing machinery.
