Student Information System Application Specialist

About the role

The Student Information System Application Specialist will support the implementation, configuration, optimization and ongoing maintenance of the university's SIS, LMS, exam and library management systems, focusing on admissions, registration, billing and learning workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support implementation activities for SIS, LMS, exam and library systems, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis and system configuration.
• Validate vendor configurations, conduct UAT and end‑to‑end testing, and assist with data migration and validation.
• Develop training materials, deliver end‑user training and maintain system documentation such as SOPs and user guides.
• Provide Tier‑2 application support, troubleshoot workflow and integration issues, and manage incidents, service requests and enhancement requests.
• Participate in interface testing with ERP, payment gateway and identity management/SSO systems and support go‑live planning and stabilization.
• Generate and maintain academic reports and dashboards, enforce change‑management processes and ensure data integrity and compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience implementing and supporting Student Information Systems in higher‑education.
• Hands‑on experience with SIS and LMS, including end‑to‑end implementation and go‑live.
• Strong understanding of higher‑education workflows, accreditation requirements and data protection laws.
• Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Integration standards: APIs, LTI, SSO.
• Data migration, validation and reporting.
• Change‑management and incident management processes.
• ITIL Foundation (or equivalent) certification – advantageous.
