Team Lead, Molding Operations & Engineering

About the role

A hands-on Mechatronics Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in injection molding and injection blow molding is sought to lead the molding department in Amman. The role covers operational and engineering activities on molding equipment, process optimization, troubleshooting, maintenance coordination and continuous improvement, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of injection molding and injection blow molding machines and provide advanced troubleshooting and technical support for equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Ensure optimum machine performance, availability and production efficiency, and coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor machine performance, implement corrective actions to reduce downtime, and optimize molding parameters for better quality and productivity.
• Lead root cause analysis of process deviations, defects and equipment failures; support new mold trials, machine validations and process qualifications.
• Implement continuous improvement to reduce waste, scrap and operational costs.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinate machine installations, upgrades and modifications, and document technical activities and maintenance records.
• Take part in FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ and PQ activities when applicable.
• Supervise and train technicians and operators, develop their troubleshooting, setup and process control skills, and promote safety, quality and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, ISO requirements and company policies, maintain safe equipment operation, and support audits and CAPA plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in injection molding and injection blow molding machines in medical, pharmaceutical or food manufacturing.
• Ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Preferred: ARBURG certification, knowledge of GMP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and medical manufacturing, preventive maintenance and reliability improvement experience, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
