Technical Assistant – CAD

About the role

The Technical Assistant – CAD will support UNRWA’s infrastructure projects by preparing accurate drawings and designs using AutoCAD. The role contributes to the continuous flow of operations across architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drafting work for site surveys, schematic, concept, master plans and detailed architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create 3‑dimensional presentation drawings, diagrams and simple graphics for team presentations.
• Produce hard‑copy drawings for supervisor review and approval.
• Assist Division Heads in daily operational tasks to ensure uninterrupted activity flow.
• Develop drawings for remodeling existing buildings and for housing & shelter projects.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma from an accredited institution in civil, architectural or structural engineering.
• Demonstrated adherence to UN Core Values of Integrity, Professionalism and Respect for Diversity.
• Competencies in creating and innovating, applying technical expertise, relating and networking, and learning and researching.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
