Technical Vocational Education & Training Consultant (Remote)

About the role

The UNICEF Global Programme Division is seeking a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Consultant to support the integration of TVET into secondary education systems across Jordan and other low‑ and middle‑income contexts. The assignment is remote and lasts 9.5 months.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen education systems to become more equitable, inclusive, gender‑responsive and resilient.
• Support countries in improving policy and planning, financing, data and evidence for TVET.
• Promote teacher and workforce development and the creation of accessible, inclusive learning environments.
• Facilitate cross‑sectoral coordination for children’s learning, development and wellbeing in both development and emergency contexts.
• Align TVET initiatives with Agenda 2030 commitments and broader socio‑economic frameworks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to equity, gender equality and inclusion in education.
• Experience working on education programmes in low‑ and middle‑income settings, especially in TVET.
• Understanding of challenges such as weak labour‑market intelligence and under‑representation of marginalized groups.
