UAV Ground Control & Simulation Software Developer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled software developer to create and enhance ground‑control and simulation tools for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The role involves building mission‑planning interfaces, real‑time telemetry visualisation, and simulation support for testing and training.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement GCS and mission‑support applications for UAV testing, training, and operations.
• Develop map‑based interfaces for route planning, vehicle tracking, and operator interaction.
• Visualise real‑time telemetry, GPS status, battery health, flight mode, and mission progress.
• Integrate with autopilot protocols such as MAVLink, PX4, and ArduPilot.
• Create simulation‑support tools, scenario execution frameworks, and log‑replay utilities.
• Build APIs and data pipelines linking telemetry sources, simulators, maps, and user interfaces.
• Debug software using logs, telemetry data, and structured test cases.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Python, C++, or C# for engineering‑focused software.
• Background developing desktop applications, simulation tools, or telemetry dashboards.
• Familiarity with MAVLink, PX4, or ArduPilot concepts.
• Ability to work with real‑time data, maps, and mission datasets.
