UX/UI Senior Specialist

About the role

A senior UX/UI specialist is needed to design customer journeys and screens across the Umniah digital touchpoints, from browsing and purchase through payment, registration, recharge, bill viewing, plan change and support. The role covers end-to-end design, usability testing, design systems and handover to development.

Key responsibilities

• Design customer journeys and screens, producing user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and final designs.
• Map and maintain journey documentation, including business rules, verification steps, error messages and handover points to shops or Customer Care.
• Analyse customer behaviour with analytics, session recordings and heat maps, and publish a monthly experience report with drop-off points, causes and a prioritised improvement plan.
• Run usability testing with customers before development, including field visits to shops and customer care locations.
• Maintain the design system and component library under brand guidelines, with bilingual Arabic and English design and WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility.
• Prepare design handovers and review builds against the approved design, supporting User Acceptance Testing.
• Define success measures for design changes, run comparison and personalisation tests, and coordinate with Digital Product Owners, Engineering, IT, Customer Experience, Retail, Customer Care, Commercial and Communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia design, interaction design, computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience designing user experience and interfaces for live transactional websites and mobile apps (e.g. e-commerce or self-care), including full redesigns from research to release.

Required skills

• Figma, Google Analytics 4, and a backlog and delivery tool such as Jira or an equivalent; Microsoft 365.
• Wireframing, prototyping, design systems and bilingual Arabic/English layouts.
• Desirable: Nielsen Norman Group certification, Magento 2, Insider One or a similar personalization platform, session recording and usability testing tools.
