Vehicle Control Officer (for internal and external candidates)

About the role

The Vehicle Control Officer will support UNRWA’s field operations by ensuring that transport services are delivered efficiently and safely. Reporting to the Senior Fleet Management Officer, the incumbent will manage vehicle fleets and coordinate logistics across the agency’s locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee efficient transport operations in support of field office activities.
• Supervise a large team of general support staff responsible for vehicle maintenance and scheduling.
• Report to the Senior Fleet Management Officer or designated officer on fleet performance and issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and UNRWA transport policies.

Required profile

• Internal or external candidates with relevant experience in vehicle fleet management.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate large support teams.
• Strong understanding of logistics and transport operations within a humanitarian context.

Required skills

• Vehicle fleet control and monitoring.
• Knowledge of transport logistics and safety regulations.
