Water and Wastewater Specialist – Water Efficiency & Conservation

About the role

Tetra Tech is seeking a Water and Wastewater Specialist to join its Water Efficiency and Conservation Activity team in Amman, Jordan. The specialist will support technical assistance and readiness activities for the National Conveyor Project Management Unit (NCPMU) and collaborate with key water sector agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine scopes of work for coordination with NCPMU and broader water sector institutions.
• Plan, deliver, and oversee technical activities, including assessments, market research, and strategic planning.
• Manage activity‑level budgets, financial oversight, and donor coordination.
• Provide quality assurance and control over technical deliverables.
• Support the development of national strategies, master plans, and readiness interventions for water and wastewater systems.

Required profile

• Experience in water and wastewater sector projects, preferably in Jordan or similar contexts.
• Familiarity with government ministries, water authorities, and utility agencies.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Water and Treated Wastewater Policy and Planning Specialist.
• Strong analytical and coordination skills for multi‑stakeholder environments.
