AI Automation Intern – HR & Finance

About the role

Petra Ride is seeking an AI Automation Intern to support the People & Culture and Finance teams in streamlining internal processes. The role is ideal for a fresh graduate or final‑year student with a background in AI, data science or related fields who wants to apply technical skills to real‑world HR and finance challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Identify repetitive manual tasks in HR and Finance and propose AI‑driven or automation solutions.
• Clean and organize data from Excel, Google Sheets, HR records and finance files.
• Develop scripts or workflows using Python, SQL, Power BI, Google Apps Script or other automation platforms.
• Support AI‑assisted document processing, reporting, recruitment tracking and finance follow‑ups.
• Test automation outputs for accuracy, usability and data consistency.
• Document processes, automation steps and create user guides for internal users.
• Research emerging AI tools and recommend practical use cases.
• Assist with additional data‑related projects as needed.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate or final‑year student in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of AI tools, automation concepts and data handling.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with non‑technical teams.
