Android Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, test and maintain high‑quality mobile applications. The role involves working closely with product, UI/UX, backend and QA teams to deliver reliable, performant Android solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Build scalable, high‑performance mobile solutions and implement responsive UI from design specifications.
• Integrate REST APIs and third‑party services using Retrofit, OkHttp and related libraries.
• Troubleshoot bugs, crashes and performance issues, ensuring application stability.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, UI/UX, backend, QA).
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Android technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio and Gradle.
• Experience with Jetpack components and MVVM/MVI architecture.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Experience with local storage solutions such as Room or SQLite.
• Knowledge of Firebase services and push notifications.
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of application security and performance optimisation.
• Automated testing experience is a plus; Jetpack Compose experience is a plus.
