Area Sales Manager - Seeds

About the role

Syngenta Seeds develops and produces seeds for farmers, commercial growers, retailers and small seed companies, improving crop quality and yields. It is looking for an Area Sales Manager who will deliver sales targets for assigned customers and coordinate area activities in marketing for the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver sales targets for assigned customers and create account strategies and implementation plans.
• Lead customers to achieve business targets, review performance against KPIs and forecast and plan with each customer while following account receivables.
• Coordinate area marketing activities, including market intelligence and MAPS updates.
• Identify and select potential customers according to company strategy, and expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions.
• Conduct annual performance reviews of accounts and areas, and turn learnings into future planning.
• Act as the link between key customers and internal teams through portfolio meetings, and manage customer agreements and contracts.

Required profile

• 10 years of sales management, development and marketing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in agriculture.
• Agribusiness experience and knowledge of vegetable seeds and the seeds business are mandatory.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions and managing stakeholders' relationships.

• Grower, channel and influencer segmentation, account planning and pricing based on customer perceived value.
• Analytical thinking and market research to understand market dynamics and the value chain.
