Assistant Manager – Front Office I

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Front Office I supports the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily front‑office operations at a hotel in Amman. This role ensures smooth check‑in/check‑out processes, guest satisfaction, and optimal financial performance of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑office teams including Bell/Door staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, ensuring service standards and guest expectations are met.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve disputes, and implement corrective actions based on feedback.
• Recognize and motivate staff, maintain open communication, and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to set goals, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of guest‑services or front‑desk experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Ability to lead, coach, and recognize staff across all shifts.
