ATC Specialist – Liaison (CIC‑2)

About the role

The ATC Specialist – Liaison (CIC‑2) ensures the safe and efficient flow of air traffic within the assigned control airspace, operating in compliance with ICAO and FAA 7110.65 guidance. The role involves managing tower, approach and radar operations while maintaining situational awareness and coordinating emergency information.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily air traffic flow and apply separation rules according to FAA manuals.
• Maintain situational awareness of all operations in the facility and ensure CRM principles are followed.
• Coordinate with controllers, ground personnel and emergency services to relay critical flight information.
• Oversee vehicles and personnel operating on the airfield.
• Process flight plans and supervise approach, departure and arrival procedures.
• Maintain full working knowledge of control tower and flight‑planning functions, and basic radar/manual approach control.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved DoD or FAA ATC course.
• Eight years of ATC experience, including at least one year in a comparable facility.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain FAA Class II and US CENTCOM medical certificates.
