Azure Cloud Architect (IT) – Makati

About the role

The Azure Cloud Architect will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our cloud engineering environment. You will ensure the stability, scalability, and efficiency of Azure‑based infrastructure while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Perform system administration tasks, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting, managing user accounts, and maintaining tracking systems.
• Manage Azure cloud environments, provide improvement recommendations, and work closely with developers and architects.
• Contribute to the long‑term cloud strategy and multi‑year roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to support cloud, big data, and related initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies for cost efficiency and business value.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance assessments regularly.
• Enhance or redesign cloud solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
• Lead IT engineering projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and resources.
• Provide client‑facing technical support and ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST and ISO.
• Manage client interactions, meetings, and relationship building.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related field.
• 2–7 years of experience in systems administration or cloud engineering.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls).
• Ability to translate architectural requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience deploying scalable, highly available, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Proficiency in selecting appropriate cloud services based on compute, data, and security needs.
• Experience estimating cloud usage costs and implementing cost‑optimization strategies.
• Experience migrating on‑premise systems to cloud environments.
