Business Development Engineer

About the role

The Business Development Engineer position is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Amman. You will identify and qualify new business opportunities, support the preparation of proposals and bids, and analyse market trends, client needs and competitor activities to shape sales strategies and technical offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in the engineering, construction and infrastructure sectors.
• Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and technical proposals for donor‑funded projects financed by international financial institutions and development agencies.
• Develop and coordinate proposal documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations to represent the firm.
• Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities.
• Support project coordination and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in business development and proposal preparation, preferably within engineering.
• Experience with EOIs and technical proposals for IFI‑funded projects.
• Proven track record in business development for engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (architecture or civil engineering preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with Adobe InDesign.
• Experience using CRM tools.
