Cluster Enabling Methods Senior Specialist

About the role

The Cluster Enabling Methods Senior Specialist ensures coordinated, high-quality implementation of War Child’s Evidence-Based Methods (EBMs) across a multi-country cluster. Reporting to the Enabling Methods Lead, the role translates strategic guidance into contextual support for partners, overseeing quality assurance, onboarding, and adaptive learning to maximise impact.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cluster-level oversight of thematic quality assurance for EBM integration, ensuring partners deliver high-quality interventions.
• Coordinate and prioritize thematic support provided by Enabling Methods Specialists within the cluster, advising on resource allocation.
• Operationalise thematic and EBM guidance to guarantee contextual relevance for countries and partners.
• Lead adaptive learning cycles at cluster level, develop learning agendas, document lessons learned and feed findings into practice and strategy.
• Strengthen organisational and partner capacity through training, mentoring and scalable learning approaches.
• Represent War Child’s EBM portfolio externally, building reputation, fostering inter-agency collaboration and influencing sector policy.
• Contribute to the EBM learning agenda by gathering and sharing partner experiences and feedback.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian or development programmes, with a focus on evidence-based approaches.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-country clusters and manage specialist teams.
• Strong analytical and learning-facilitation skills, with a track record of quality assurance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-engagement capabilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding standards, JEDI principles and the CHS framework.
