Commis II – Casual Kitchen (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Commis II to join our casual kitchen team at a Marriott property in Aqaba. This full‑time position involves supporting the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking simple dishes, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, chop, wash, peel, and store fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality standards.
• Cook and assemble cold and hot dishes, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test food for proper doneness and monitor quality throughout preparation.
• Set up and break down work stations, serve food in correct portions, and ensure proper presentation.
• Clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment, and verify appliance temperatures.
• Follow company safety policies, report incidents, and maintain personal hygiene and uniform standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions for an entire shift.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
